Version history and restoring drafts

Every save is a version. Open History on any document to read or restore an earlier draft — restoring makes a new version, so nothing is ever lost.

Sent and signed versions are pinned in the history with who saw them and when.

History is the answer to “what did we actually send them in March?” — open the pinned version and you are reading the exact paper, not a reconstruction. It is also the safety net for editing: try the aggressive rewrite, and if it reads worse, restore and the experiment becomes just another entry in the log.
